Buttery Cow

Type: Naked Argentinian Cow Leather

• Weight: 2.5-3 oz

• Thickness: 1.1-1.3 (Medium Weight)

• Natural pebble grain and smooth variation, buttery soft hand, drapey, slouchy. This is a “Naked” leather - which means that the surface has not been milled or embossed for uniformity and has not been treated or protected on the surface. It may have small hide marks, texture variation, pebble/smoothness variation, nicks or very small rough spots. Over time it develops a beautiful rustic patina and remains one of my favorite leathers.

• Appearance: Waxy pullup leather with depth and character, subtle sheen and natural patina. Medium lightweight, smooshy, pliable and “chewy” feel.

• This leather is prone to a scratched patina due to the tanning process, simply rubbing the surface can often get rid of any scratches or apply a little leather conditioner like Bick 4

Oiled Brown Cow

• Thickness: 1.3-1.6mm (Medium weight)

• Appearance: South American hides treated with oils and waxes giving tons of character and rustic patina. Split to a lighter weight to add slouch and pliability.

• Due to the tanning process, oil tanned leather often has a rustic look which can include visible marks, minor blemishes, tiny freckles, making it appear more "distressed" than other leather types. Superficial scratches appear and can be rubbed away with either your fingers or a touch of leather conditioner like Bick 4. The patina that comes over time and wear is considered the charm of this leather.

Glam Buttery Cow

Type: Cow Leather

• Appearance: it is a distressed, vintage, natural grain nubuck leather that has what they call a ‘heat adhesive foil’ on the top layer for the glam look. It does not come off or alter over time. The leather is soft and drapey but has substance and a smooth hand.

Old English Buttery Cow

Type: Cow Leather

• Thickness: 1.1-1.3 mm (Medium/ light weight)

• Appearance: It has a soft, waxy feel and a bit of burnished distressing and is technically oil-tanned as it uses a combination of oils and waxes during the tanning process. It has a slight variance in color and texture for depth and character and is drapey and mouldable.
