Ordering Information for North Moor Design

North Moor is owned and operated by a single person, so getting bags to people who would like them has been tricky to say the least but necessity is the mother of invention! Below you can find several ways to find your style at North Moor.
IN STOCK BAGS:
*Several styles and colors will be uploaded periodically with advanced notice both on this website under “Announcements” and on my FB page.
*Returnable for refund after 7 days post receipt minus all applicable shipping charges.
*Order processing time 3 days after placement.
CUSTOM COLLECTIVES:
** Important: this is a new endeavor, the first time we are working with a sewing team. It takes considerable time to establish a smooth working channel with vendors for all makers. If you are not feeling flexible or are worried about being part of something that is in progress, this may not be the option for you and Customs created in my studio would be a better choice (though exponentially slower). I will ALWAYS work with you to make sure you are happy, I just ask for patience while we grow. Additionally, if there are any configuration aberrations caused by the production team, the Collective will be given the choice for a remake or to keep the resulting bag ***
*A Custom Collective is a way to design a bag and receive it with a shorter wait than a traditional custom and with no limited monthly custom spot uploads.
*A listing for each available style for CC is offered on my website.
*In order for a CC bag to be made, there must be a minimum total of 4 customers who have agreed to that particular combination of bag style, lining, hardware, etc. You can start your own design and get people on board or join someone else's Collective design. You may design it together on the North Moor Insiders page on Facebook, or simply post a design you'd love to create on the NM Facebook pate and see if you can get three others to join you on your design. You can also join someone else’s design on either of those pages.
*The deposit amount is for approximately 50% of the bag base price for each member of the Collective and can be purchased through the website once there are enough members and the final design has been approved.
*Once the deposit is made, the listing includes a 30 minute design consult with Jess. This can be with one person or as a group video call. (If the design is cancelled AFTER the call, $30 will be kept from the deposit of each customer.) This step isn’t necessary but offered in case it helps.
For each collectively designed style:
*4 customers allow a bag to be produced
• 6-9 customers earn a 10% discount on each bag
• *10+ customers the discount on each bag is 15%
**Please note that these bags may have extras made or be recreated with the same design and sold as in-stock bags at any time. It is a testament to your beautiful design choices!!
***While you are allowed to choose your strap styles we are no longer creating bags without straps for collectives.
**** If sending your own liner in, you can usually bet on 1/2 yards per bag UNLESS the liner has direction and then 3/4 to 1 yard per bag is safer.
CUSTOM BAGS:
Custom Order slots on website will go up on the 1st Sunday of the month at 4pm Pacific. *UNLESS there is a scheduled stock upload or a backup of previous custom orders. They go fast, if I had help sewing I could upload more spots but the prices of my bags would soar. It is a trade-off.

*Please make sure to fill out and submit the form within one week
*Custom purchases not returnable
Custom process : Once on the custom list you are entitled to design one full size bag and two “littles.” Eligible littles are Mytilus, Oyster Catcher (flat or boxed), and Rugosa Pouches and Cases. You may do EITHER a Penny Pouch (limit 1) OR Piper (limit 1) or just stick with the pouches. You may line one of those littles (the Mytilus and Oyster catchers aren’t ever lined but Pipers Pennys and Rugosas can be). You may send your own leather/liners for customs at this time. This does not discount your bag because accommodating unfamiliar textiles and leathers can present its own logistics including wait times and design adjustments. For custom orders I suggest one yard of your desired fabric.

I make great efforts to find something similar if you find that it is no longer an option. Also, despite being “limited” I often buy large quantities and on occasion I am able to find it again at the distributor, so don’t be discouraged.

**If sending your own liner 1/2 yard should be good for most bags UNLESS you have direction to your pattern in which case 3/4 to 1 yard is safer.
LIMITED BAGS:
*made in small batches based on limited supply of any bag materials.
*Does not imply that the combination will never be recreated; however it is indicative of a short supply or unpredictable source for the materials.
*Returnable after 7 days post receipt for credit minus applicable shipping costs.
PREORDER BAGS:
*Pre-order bags have a dedicated pre-order start and close date after which the final number of bags will be made.
*Delivery expected 2 to 3 weeks after close date.
*Returnable after 7 days post receipt for credit minus applicable shipping charges.
HIDESHARES:
*At times I will offer certain leathers in the form of a hideshare.
*The Hideshare will appear as a announcement of a specific hide available on my website. Interested parties use the "contact us" info to initiate a discussion and to designate which style they'd like to order. I will be in contact for details re: lining hardware etc.
*There will be a minimum number of interested customers for the purchase, this number will vary depending on the hides.
*Hideshares are applicable for full sized bags only (no littles- Mytilus, Oyster Catchers, Penny Pouch or Piper)
*Returnable for Credit before 7 days after being received minus applicable shipping charges.
*Hideshare suggestions may be posted on the North Moor Facebook page to garner interest as well.
RETURN POLICY: In stock bags in new and unused condition may be returned for a refund for the bag less all applicable shipping charges within 7 days. Semi custom, limited styles, promotional or sale bags may be returned within 7 days for credit only. Please contact me for return authorization. Custom orders are non-returnable. Bags with leather aberrations should be discussed within 7 days of receipt and depend on the situation, though most leathers have disclaimers so please read them carefully before ordering. All rivets, screws and stitching can be repaired upon request.
SHIPPING: North Moor is comprised of one individual who is also the default parent of two children. As there are over 100 bags in process at any given time, shipping times may be affected by something as small as an unexpected sickness, school break, etc. Please be patient.
